Director, editor and occasional actor whose life in Montana has been built from a place of love, friendship, and constant obsession with reality. The dream of making films came from being a teenager at the peak of mumblecore, drawing immense inspiration from the behavioral realism of Aaron Katz, the Duplass Brothers, and Joe Swanberg, only to back-track and discover Linklater, Altman, Cassavettes, and so-on and so-forth. He works for The Roxy Theater, a non-profit arthouse cinema in Missoula, and regularly performs music via a multi-media project called Dorothy.
JUSTIN REICHERT - DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY/EDITOR/WRITER - firstname.lastname@example.org
Born in Billings, Montana during the sweltering summer of '88 with a hole in his heart. Some twelve years later his father gave him his first 35mm camera on which he would cut his teeth, and for the next decade he so did. In the Autumn of 2011 he left Billings and moved to Missoula, MT to attend The University of Montana and the school of Media Arts. In the years since he has lived in the Tenderloin of San Francisco, saw the ocean for the first time, been the multimedia editor of a century-old newspaper, moved to Bozeman, MT, totaled his truck, lived on the fringe of the occult, saw the ocean again, fell in love, fell out of love, and eventually made his way back to Missoula in 2016 to make films with his friends.
